Early copper plate engraving 'Cite de Nang Hyong Fu tiree de Nieuhof', China. Fine view of the town with Chinese junks in the foreground. The picture comes from Prevost's 'Histoire Generale des Voyages' and dates from around 1750. 
 
The picture, which is hand coloured has folds as issued and is in good condition. Size of engraved area 240mm x 160mm.

Interesting early copper plate engraving showing 'Canoe of the Isle of Navigators under sail an Indian Canoe of the Isle of Choiseul and a Canoe of the Isle of Taiti (Tahiti) under sail. The picture was published in the Gent Magazine in 1772. 
 
The picture, which is hand coloured, has a light crease top right hand corner and some minor offsetting, otherwise in good condition. Size of engraved area 180mm x 100mm.

Unusual and interesting early copper plate engraving detailing Mr John Read's method of stopping the progress of fire onboard of ships. The picture was published in the Gent Magazine in 1793. 
 
The picture, which is hand coloured, is close trimmed to the right hand side, not affecting the image but generally in good order. Size of engraved area 180mm x 110mm.

Upnor Castle, near Chatham in Kent C1830

S teel engraving of 'Upnor Castle near Chatham in Kent', engraved by T Garner from an original drawing by T M Baynes from around 1830. The Castle was built between 1559 and 1567 on the orders of Queen Elizabeth the first to defend her warships at anchor in the Medway. It proved ineffective when the Dutch sailed up the Medway in 1667 and attacked the dockyard.

Fairly rare steel engraving by J B Neagle from an original painting by W M Craig of Amsterdam Holland towards the Zuyder Zee. The picture dates from around 1830.

The picture, which has later hand colouring, is in good condition apart from a crease bottom left corner. This looks worse on the screen image than it actually is, but it is there. I would think it would flatted out and be hardly visible once mounted and framed. Otherwise in very good condition. Size of engraved area 220mm x 150mm.
