Rare etching of the Prince's Chambers Westminster 1809 
 
Very rare etching of the 'South East view of the Prince's Chambers...' . The picture comes from the Antiquities of Westminster published by John Thomas Smith and is dated 1809. The engraving is etched by John Thomas Smith. The Prince's Chambers is a small anteroom between the Royal Gallery and the Lord's Chambers in the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament).
 
The engraving is in very good condition. Size of engraved area 240mm x 150mm.

Upnor Castle, near Chatham in Kent C1830

S teel engraving of 'Upnor Castle near Chatham in Kent', engraved by T Garner from an original drawing by T M Baynes from around 1830. The Castle was built between 1559 and 1567 on the orders of Queen Elizabeth the first to defend her warships at anchor in the Medway. It proved ineffective when the Dutch sailed up the Medway in 1667 and attacked the dockyard.
 
The picture, which has later hand colouring, is a little grubby around the borders with some light spotting but generally in good condition. Size of engraved area 150mm x 90mm.

Amsterdam towards the Zuyder Zee C1830

Fairly rare steel engraving by J B Neagle from an original painting by W M Craig of Amsterdam Holland towards the Zuyder Zee. The picture dates from around 1830.

The picture, which has later hand colouring, is in good condition apart from a crease bottom left corner. This looks worse on the screen image than it actually is, but it is there. I would think it would flatted out and be hardly visible once mounted and framed. Otherwise in very good condition. Size of engraved area 220mm x 150mm.
