Dinner menu for the completion of the Mauretania 1938
Gold edged dinner menu commemorating the completion of the Mauretania on the 19th December 1938. The menu sounds appealing, consisting of two Cornish oysters, English melon, Sole Colbert, Pigeon Bordelaise, boiled turkey with chestnut sauce braised celery and potato croquettes. There was also Punch a la Romaine braised York ham and Champagne sauce, desert and coffee.
The outside is a little grubby, the inside has a few stains but it is an interesting item.
