Early copper plate engraving from Reistogt Naar en Door Oostindien published in Amsterdam around 1775. The original print would have dated from about 1680 and was probably by the Dutch draughtsman and engraver Johannes Kip (1653-1722).

H.M.S Britannia C1850
Rare large format lithograph of H.M.S. Britannia entering Devonport Harbour around 1850. The picture was drawn on stone from a painting by J L Hornbrook and was published by S Saunders in Bowyer Place, High Street, Camberwell, London. H.M.S Britannia was a 120 gun first Rate Ship-of-the-Line launched in October 1820. A superb picture which will look stunning framed. We will be having a new section shortly offering original works from featured marine artists.
The picture is a little discoloured around the borders, very minor, and has some thinning of the paper to the right of the titles and a small section in the sky, visible only when held to the light. Otherwise in good condition. Size of engraved area 380mm x 240mm, excluding titles.

HM Channel Fleet 1898
Large format lithograph 'H.M. Channel Fleet in a terrific gale, October 16th & 17th 1898, on passage from Portland to Arosa Bay. The ships involved were HMS Arrogant, HMS Magnificent, HMS Mars, HMS Prince George, HMS Repulse, HMS Perorous, HMS Furious, HMS Blake, HMS Majestic, HMS Jupiter, HMS Hannibal and HMS Resolution.
The picture is laid on card with a tear to the left hand border and just slightly into the image and once mounted it would be hardly noticeable. An interesting and quite rare picture. Because of the fact it is stuck down it will need to be sent Parcel Force 48 with a cost of £3.50 to the UK and £17.00 International. Size of engraved area; 560mm x 380mm excluding text.

Very rare astronomical chart 'Sphaera Saturni Louis Martis'. This chart was purchased as a loose leaf from an American dealer who trades in rare books and early engravings and the following information is based on his research. From an edition of 'In Sphaeram Loannis de Sacro Bosco Commentarius' by Christophori Clavii, probably the 1581 edition published in Rome.
Christoph Clavius (1538-1612) was a German Jesuit astronomer and mathematician and the inventor of the Gregorian calendar.
The chart is printed on fine paper and is creased, as you would expect from an engraving of this age. Size of sheet 140mm x 110mm.

Small copper plate folding engraved map of the Environs of Bath from Cary's New Itinerary published by J Cary January 1810. The map also shows Bristol and Clifton to the West.
The map, which is hand coloured and slightly grubby but no tears or foxing and generally in good condition. Folds as issued. Size of engraved area 210mm x 160mm.

Lino-cut by Henryk Polubinski 1965
Superb lino-cut by the Polish artist Henryk Polubinski. The picture is titled and signed in pencil and dated 1965. I believe the scene is somewhere in the Gdansk region of Poland. The artists last exhibition was in Friedberg Germany in 1983.
The picture is on very fine paper with some creasing to the borders but otherwise in good condition. Size of engraved area 310mm x 230mm.
