Victory over the Spanish
 
Early copper plate engraving 'Victory over the Spanish 29 August 1350'. Engraved by R Rhodes from an original painting by Cleveley the picture was published in London by R Bowyer Historic Gallery in Pall Mall London in 1799.
 
The picture, which is hand coloured, is in good condition. Size of engraved area 190mm x 130mm excluding ornate border.

The Mouth of the Thames C1870

Super steel engraving of 'The Mouth of the Thames'. Fine engraving by A Willmore from an original painting by H T Dawson and dating from around 1870. The picture has everything from an ironclad to a Man of War with hulks in the background. 
 
The picture, which has later hand colouring, is in good condition. Size of engraved area 250mm x 180mm.

War Canoe of the New Zealanders in the South Pacific Ocean C1810.
 
Early copper plate engraving of ' War Canoe of the New Zealanders in the South Pacific Ocean'. The picture was designed by Hodges, probably William Hodges who was the official artist on Captain Cook's second voyage, and engraved by Grainger. 
 
The picture, which has later hand colouring, is in good condition. Size of engraved area 170mm x 130mm.

Steel engraving of the 'Malta'. Drawn and engraved by H Bibby, the picture comes from England's Battles published around 1860 by the London Printing and Publishing Company. 
 
The picture, which has later hand colouring, has a small repaired tear bottom left, barely visible and most of which mounts out, otherwise in g0od condition. Size of engraved area, excluding ornate border 180mm x 120mm.

Superb original drypoint etching by Henry George Walker possibly Oxford University. Born in Birchfield Birmingham in 1876 he became an active etcher in 1921 when he exhibited at the Royal Birmingham Society. His most successful etchings were his studies of the harbours of Tenby and Brixham. He died in 1932.  
 
The picture, which has some discolouration as do all Walker etchings, is in good condition. Signed in pencil by the artist. Size of engraved area 250mm x 200mm.
