Superb early copper plate Mercator map 'Von Engelandt' from the German 1634 edition of 'Atlas Minor'. The map shows Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire, Hampshire borders and most of South Wales.  Town names are mostly printed in English.
 
The map, which has later hand colouring, has text on the reverse and is in very good condition. Size of engraved area 200m x 140mm.

Steel engraved map of Kent by James Pigot from around 1840. The map has a nice vignette of Canterbury bottom left. Published by Pigot and Co in London. Please note, picture comes without the mount shown in the screen image as postage costs are excessive for the size of it.

Early steel engraved map possibly by Edward Mogg from 'Paterson's Roads being an entirely and accurate description of all the Direct and Principle Cross Roads in England and Wales'. The map dates from around 1825 and has vertical folds as issued.
 
The map, which has later hand colouring, is on very fine paper and has some creasing but otherwise in good condition. Size of engraved area; 240mm x 190mm.

Early folding copper plate engraved map of 'A Plan of the proposed Navigable Canal from Andover to Redbridge in the County of Southampton'. Surveyed in 1770 the plan was published in the Gent Magazine in 1772. It shows the proposed route from Andover, through Stockbridge and Rumsey and onto Southampton. An interesting historical map.
 
The picture, which has later hand colouring, has folds as issued and some vertical creasing which is normal for early maps from this journal, otherwise is in good condition. Size of engraved area 340mm x 170mm.

Surveyed in 1770 the plan was published in the Gent Magazine in 1772. It shows the proposed route from Andover, through Stockbridge and Rumsey and onto Southampton. An interesting historical map.

Early folding copper plate engraved map of ' A Plan of the River Tees and of the intended Navigable Canal from Stockton by Darlington to Winston in the Bishoprick of Durham'. The plan was published in the Gent Magazine in 1772 following a survey by Richard Whitworth. An interesting historical map.
 
The picture, which has later hand colouring, has folds as issued, some vertical creasing, which is normal for early maps from this journal and a small light crease bottom right. Otherwise in good condition. Size of engraved area 280mm x 180mm.

Early copper plate engraved map of the Bishopgate Ward London from John Noorthouck's part work 'A New History of London including Westminster and Southwark 1772-1773'. The map is probably by Thomas Bowen and covers Gracechurch Street through to Bishopsgate. Quite a scarce map.
 
The picture, which has later hand colouring, is laid on card and is close trimmed on all sides. There is also a small parting at the fold, otherwise in good condition. Size of engraved area 230mm x 180mm.

Superb early copper engraved map of Hampshire by Thomas Kitchin, issued around 1786. The map also features the Isle of Wight. A very nice map with good detail.
 
The map, which has very good later colouring, has some vertical lines down it, probably from the time of printing but otherwise in good condition. Size of engraved area 210m x 170mm.
