North Wales, Thomas Kitchin C1765

Rare folding copper plate map by, I believe, Thomas Kitchin from John Hinton's 'The Universal Magazine of Knowledge and Pleasure' published around 1765. 

The map, which has later hand colouring, is slightly creased along the fold but otherwise in good condition. Size of engraved area; 220mm x 180mm.

Early copper plate engraved map of Leicestershire, possibly from the Antiquities of England and Wales by Francis Grose circa 1787. A super little map, text on reverse but not visible from the front. 

The map, which has later hand colouring, is in good condition. Size of engraved area; 150mm x 120mm.

The map, which has later hand colouring, is on very fine paper and apart from being slightly grubby around the edges is in good condition. Size of engraved area; 220mm x 190mm.
