Gravesend, aquatint by J C Stadler 1795 

Stunning early original aquatint of Gravesend in Kent with the River Thames in the background by J C Stadler from an original drawing by J Farrington R.A. The picture was published in June 1795 by J & J Boydell in the Pall Mall Gallery,Cheapside, London and has original hand colouring.  
 
The picture has a very small mark in the sky and a little scratch mark bottom left. The borders is a little discoloured but generally the condition is good. A rare print. Size of engraved area 320mm x 220mm.

Very rare aquatint of 'The waterfront of the buildings on the Eastern side of New Palace Yard' Westminster, London. The picture comes from the Antiquities of Westminster published by John Thomas Smith in Castle Street, East Oxford Street and is dated 1808. The engraving is by W M Fellows from an original drawing by John Smith.
 
The engraving has some slight foxing to the border but generally in very good condition. Size of engraved area 250m x 200mm.

Superb sepia toned limited edition etching 3/40 titled 'Sea Reach'. The image is of Blue Circle and Thames barges probably in the region of the lower Thames near Dartford. The picture is signed in pencil by the artist, looks like Prentice, and is dated '89. This will look stunning mounted and framed.

"Off Brixham" signed etching by Henry George Walker 

Superb original drypoint etching by Henry George Walker, 'Off Brixham' with yachts and an early tug. Born in Birchfield Birmingham in 1876 he became an active etcher in 1921 when he exhibited at the Royal Birmingham Society. His most successful etchings were his studies of the harbours of Tenby and Brixham. He died in 1932.  
 
The picture, which is stuck at the top to a thin card, is in good condition. Signed in pencil by the artist with studio with a signed artist proof stamp bottom right. Size of engraved area 290mm x 180mm.

Superb original drypoint etching by Henry George Walker, 'Off Brixham' with yachts and an early tug. Born in Birchfield Birmingham in 1876 he became an active etcher in 1921 when he exhibited at the Royal Birmingham Society. His most succesful etchings were his studies of the harbours of Tenby and Brixham. He died in 1932.
Glasgow Docks? Pencil signed etching c1920 
 
Pencil signed etching, of I think, Glasgow Docks. I am afraid I cannot read signature but if you click on the image it will enlarge it. Picture dates from around 1920.
 
The etching is close trimmed and a little discoloured but extremely interesting. Size of engraved area 180m x 130mm.

Super early framed aquatint 'The Squadron under the command of rear Admiral Stopford engaging the French Frigates'. The picture is engraved by T Sutherland from a painting by T Whitcombe and dates from around 1820.

Thames Barges? Early Aquatint by William Miller 1805

Super early aquatint published by William Miller in 1805. The picture shows, I believe, barges working on the Thames. 'The pictures from this series are quite sought after and some fetch very high prices.

The picture has original hand colouring and apart from a brown line around it, from previously being framed, is in good condition. Size of engraved area; 290mm x 200mm.
